Die Mas van Kakamas

Die Mas Farm Camping and Caravan Park offers a relaxed riverside camping experience on the banks of the Orange River near Kakamas in the Northern Cape. The campsite is located on a working farm surrounded by vineyards and open landscapes typical of the Orange River valley.

The camping area consists of approximately twenty well-spaced stands suitable for tents, caravans, and motorhomes. Electrical points are available, and the site is accessible via a level gravel road suitable for towing vehicles and larger rigs.

Shared ablution facilities are available on site and are designed to serve both campers and caravanners. Each stand includes a designated braai area, allowing guests to prepare meals outdoors in a traditional South African setting. Refuse points are provided to help maintain a clean and orderly campsite environment.

The Orange River is a central feature of the camping experience at Die Mas. Guests can enjoy fishing from the riverbank, birdwatching, or simply spending time near the water. During peak summer months, occasional evening functions may take place at the lapa, which can create a livelier atmosphere at certain times.
